To all Tourists planning to visit Thailand. Scams, Touts, petite crimes are all round everywhere.

Had been visiting many provinces in Thailand for the past 20 years, I found Thailand are much much safer than "other" countries I'd visit. Just practice normal common sense will be okay.

Just go and enjoy Thailand! Just a friendly NO THANKS to all touts, and don't speak to strangers BUT just give them a friendly smile. Do and don't be paranoid everyone's gonna scam you. You'll be fine!!!

Thailand offers a superb tropical climate, beautiful mountain and coastal scenery and incredible value for money make Thailand the perfect honeymoon destination. With Thailand Honeymoons you can choose any of the experiences Thailand has to offer.

Some great advice in this post. Definitely be aware that ripping off tourists is a full time job for a lot of people - not just a hobby!

Most of the scammers around the Grand Palace and other tourist areas are in fact Burmese. Us Brits set up a good school system there and they learn good English. Any Thai that could speak English that well would be in a well paid job.

I live here and love it, my Thai friends are annoyed by these scammers. Obviously gives the country a bad name. of course there are Thai scammers too but not so many and not so slick.

Hope this helps you to have a different idea about Bangkok and Thailand,

best wishes, Howell
