Gas Prices On Guam

Mobil Gas Guam

I think gas prices on Guam are the highest in the United States.  The picture of Mobil Gas prices on the island of Guam was taken about 2 weeks ago, and I have a feeling the island is going to see another gas price increase.  Currently for Unleaded gas it costs $4.31 per gallon and for Super Unleaded the price is $4.44 per gallon.  Although Guam isn’t a big island the high gas prices have been hurting the people who try to budget on their gas consumption.  If you know of anywhere else in the United States where the gas prices are higher I’d be interested to hear about it.  Just post in the comments or send me an email.

  1. John Said,

The gas prices in some countries are so outrageous that I’d rather take a cab

  2. Nomadic Matt Said,

It’s $4.10 where I am. up, up , up it goes.

    Nomadic Matt,
Like I mentioned in the post the price of gas just rose here in Guam again a few days ago to $4.49 per gallon for Unleaded gas.

  4. STX001 Said,

Gas in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, 125 miles north of Guam is 4.69 a gallon…..almost $5

  5. Will Said,

Costs about $17.00/gallon by the time it gets here…and I’m burning it at a rate of about 50 gal/hr.

Sure glad I’m not paying for it!

Last year in London I think I paid the equivalent of about $8.00/gal for “petrol” - that sucked

  6. sandeelou Said,

gas in california is about the same as Guam if not more! yikes!

  7. Wendy-Escape NY Said,

I’m actually glad my main mode of transport is the subway!
It’s good to be carless at this point in time.

  8. belief713 Said,

I saw on the news about 2 or so weeks ago a little special they did on a town somewhere on the coast of Oregon or Cali or Washington (sorry, I can’t remember which state) where gas was $5+ a gallon! I couldn’t believe it. It’s because it was the only gas station for miles on a vacation traveled route. I wish I could remember the town or what station it was!

  10. Peter Yew Said,

Gas price hike hurts travel the worst, especially if you fly. With the invisible fuel surcharges loaded, it may be best to back pack, if you are young and adventurous. Go to countries with favorable exchange rates, and lower cost of living, and good communication. May I suggest taking a look at Malaysia which I am promoting via my blog here http://peteryew.blogpot.com.

  11. Peter Yew Said,

    Oooops. http://peteryew.blogspot.com. Sorry!

  12. VInce Said,

It has been tough this year with gas prices so high. Many people are turning to vacations right in their back yard. It has been a while since I visited Guam. Nice to see the pictures.

  13. Matthew Said,

How do these prices compare to diesel. Are other countries cheaper or about the same?

  14. Laura Said,

Nope, Alaska STILL has these prices beat. I paid $4.36 a gallon this morning. :( SUCKS! Diesel here is still hoovering around $5, although I’ve seen some places around $4.94. Insane.

  15. david Said,

You americans need to come into the real world.
In the Uk we are paying £1.25 per litre = £19.34 a gallon or $10.17 .
Flying and driving are now considered a luxury and given I operate Flypark an airport car parking company, this is a double whammy.
The government have been trying to reduce traffic conjestion for the last 25 years, Opec have manged this in 6 months.
    You just got to laugh
